Answers about calling phone numbers online from your browser, supported countries, security, pricing, and SIM-free travel calls.

Can I use CallAlternative from abroad?

Yes — it works from a browser, so travelers and expats can call U.S. and Canada numbers from abroad without relying on roaming voice. For high-intent travel examples, see how to call U.S. banks from abroad or call airlines from abroad.

Do I need a SIM or phone number?

No SIM needed. Create an account, open the browser dialer, enter the destination number, and call over your internet connection.

What countries can I call?

USA and Canada are the primary supported destinations. Other countries can be activated on demand: UK, India, China, Spain, France, Portugal, Mexico, and Pakistan. Reach out to support for additional countries.

What plans does CallAlternative offer?

There are currently three plans: Basic 100 for lightweight browser calling, Basic Plus for 100 minutes plus one dedicated number, and Max Plan for heavier calling with up to 1,000 minutes plus one dedicated number. If you want a more private calling setup with a stable caller identity, Basic Plus is the main step up. You can compare the current options on the billing page.
